HEUR-540D is a liquid water-based thickener with polyurethane components, featuring high shear performance and easy application. It outperforms traditional cellulose-based thickeners (e.g., HEC hydroxyethyl cellulose, MC methyl cellulose, etc.) and acrylic thickeners in terms of leveling property, film gloss and water resistance.

1.Dosage: 0.2-2.0% relative to the total formulation. Conduct tests to determine the optimal dosage according to the system components and required fluidity before addition.
2.It can be added either before or after grinding. It is recommended to add a portion in the early stage and the rest in the later stage.
3.No pre-dilution is required for use due to good dispersibility; if dilution is needed, water-based solvents can be used for dilution.
1.Associative thickening is affected by temperature: the viscosity is higher at low temperatures and lower at high temperatures. Temperature conditions should be taken into account when designing the formulation.
2.Re-test shall be conducted when the batch of thickened raw materials is changed to confirm the dosage of the thickener.
3.This product may crystallize at low temperatures, and crystallization does not affect product performance. If crystallization occurs, heat the product to melt the crystals before use.
