Product Introduction

HEUR-540E is a liquid water-based thickener with polyurethane components and easy application. It outperforms traditional cellulose-based thickeners (e.g., HEC hydroxyethyl cellulose, MC methyl cellulose, etc.) and acrylic thickeners in terms of thixotropy, film gloss and water resistance.

Application Scope

Water-based coatings, water-based adhesives, water-based inks, textile coatings, leather finishing and other fields

Dosage and Application Method

1.Dosage: 0.2-2.0% relative to the total formulation. Conduct tests to determine the optimal dosage according to the system components and required fluidity before addition.

2.It can be added either before or after grinding. It is recommended to add a portion in the early stage and the rest in the later stage.

3.Moderate dispersibility; dilution before use is highly recommended if conditions permit, and water-based solvents can be used for dilution.

Notes

1.Associative thickening is affected by temperature: viscosity is higher at low temperatures and lower at high temperatures. Temperature conditions should be taken into account when designing the formulation.

2.Re-test shall be conducted when the batch of thickened raw materials is changed to confirm the dosage of the thickener.

3.This product may crystallize at low temperatures, and crystallization does not affect product performance. If crystallization occurs, heat the product to melt the crystals before use.

Storage and Shelf Life

1.Store in the original sealed container;

2.Recommended storage temperature: 6-28℃;

3.Must be used up within 12 months from the date of production;

4.Avoid direct sunlight and contamination by other substances.

Packaging

Available in 50kg, 125kg and IBC ton drum packaging; customized packaging can be provided according to customer requirements.
